Carter's Maple Syrup "1 Litre in a Really Ugly Bottle" "Buy all you want - no limits!" -Eric
A little History...
My family has been making syrup at our farm since 1905, when my great-grandfather purchased the farm and luckily it had a maple bush preserved from logging because it was close to the farm buildings. All of our current bush lots were purchased between 1905 and 1933 from logging companies after they had been harvested. As a point of interest all of our syrup production occurs on the Ardtrea Island ANSI (Area of Natural and Special Interest) as identified by the Provincial Government. We also own land in the North River Swamp, recently named a provincially significant Wetland, as one of the largest ANSI's in Simcoe County, we are the largest single land owner of the ANSI.
You can find us at the Barrie Farmers Market every Saturday morning and the Annual Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival and we are now apart of the Annual Open House Tour "Maple Weekend" which is the first weekend in April - so we look forward to seeing you! As always our samples are available for tasting!
